Using the evaluation plan produced by the team as main background information, each

student will individually write a paper critiquing the evaluation plan. The assignment is a

critique of the evaluation plan in two sections. In Section I the student will explain how

and why the team made the main decisions in relation to the purposes of the evaluation,

evaluation questions, methods, and the realities of the case. In Section Il the student will

explain other choices that could have been made (e.g., other purposes for the evaluation,

other questions, other methods, etc.). For the second section the student can use the

textbook and other materials posted on UM Learn to get ideas of other choices, and can

also use ideas that may have been discussed in class during team presentations. The paper

should be between 3000 and 3500 words in length (excluding references).

Criteria for marks:

1) How well the rationale for the different decisions is explained (40)

2) How well other options for each step are developed (40)

3) Writing style, grammar, typos, formatting, etc. (20)
